LWML's motto, Serve the Lord with gladness (Psalm 100:2) was chosen in 1943 at the first LWML Convention.  I can do all things through him who strengthens me (Phillipians 4:13) easily exemplifies our founders, who resourcefullness, perseverance, and resilience boldly started our organization in the middle of World War II
